Museum of the Market Underground – Sightseeing in Krakow for inclement weather
This is one of the newest museums in Krakow. You must visit it, especially when it’s plague and rain outside. The exhibition is full of modern technology that both children and adults love. In the basement of the main square you will find a truly medieval Krakow with unique finds. Traveling with a guide, you will learn why Cracovians are called centaurs, what medieval merchant law was all about. In the underground you will be able to see the towers of St. Mary’s Church from a completely different perspective. This museum guards many secrets and history, and most importantly, staying here you will forget about the rainy weather.
Wawel Castle tour – even in the rain it’s worth it
You can even spend a whole day to visit Wawel Castle, especially the rainy one. There are a lot of sights worth seeing here. It is advisable to plan in advance a tour of the most intervening points. At the castle we can see the richly decorated Royal Chambers, the Hall of Deputies, the royal chapel or the huge senatorial hall. While at Wawel Castle, we move back in time and see how the King really lived. While at Wawel, it is worth seeing the den of the legendary dragon and going to the Sandomierz Tower, from which we can look at Cracow like the old defenders of the Castle. The exterior buildings and beautifully maintained gardens are also a pleasure for the eyes. Even when it’s raining, it’s worth taking a moment to stroll around the castle’s courtyard.
